For type 2 diabetes, adding half a teaspoon ground cinnamon a day to your diet could have beneficial results. Sprinkle it on buttered toast,apple slices, oatmeal or in yoghurt. Alternatively stick to ordinary tea to make chai tea.

Easing a fever with Tamarind And Turmeric

In Ayurvedic medicine, tamarind leaves have been used in tea for reducing fever. Prepare a cold drink by mixing a pinch of turmeric powder with 2 fresh tamarind leaves in 125ml (4 fl oz) cold water. Drink to help reduce fever and repeat twice a day.

Soothe brittle hair with gram flour and coconut milk

Add 2 tablespoons gram flour to 1 cup coconut milk and gently massage into the scalp. Leave for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse.

Avoiding Athletes foot with Ginger

Ginger has anti fungal properties, so is great treatment for athlete’s foot. Infuse hot water with fresh ginger root, allow to cool and then use as a foot soak for 15 minutes twice a day.

Takeaway Toothache with Almond Extract

Almond extract is a great toothache reliever because of its high alcohol content, which dries out the cavity and acts as a topical anesthetic. Use a few drops on the painful area as needed.

Improve Gum health with Mustard

Mix 1 tablespoon of mustard oil with 1 teaspoon of table salt. Wash your hands thoroughly and then use a clean finger to apply the mixture to the gum, massaging gently for a few seconds. Rinse well with warm water.

Prevent Poor Circulation with Onions

Eating onions every day can help to improve the circulation as well as relax muscles, reducing stress. Onions are actually easier to digest if they are partially cooked, so grilling or roasting lightly works well.

Anti Angina with Basil

Basil leaves can reduce blood cholesterol levels and help protect the heart from continued damage. Mix 1 tablespoon of fresh basil juice with 1 teaspoon of honey and drink on an empty stomach.

Banish Burnt Lips And Tongue with Sugar

If you burn your tongue on hot food or drink, immediately sprinkle granulated sugar on it – the sugar takes in the heat and helps prevent the tongue from feeling scorched for too long.
